The National Coalition for Marine Conservation (NCMC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization under the federal tax code. We receive funding from both our members and charitable foundations. Our members include conservation-minded fishermen, scientists, divers, boaters, fishing clubs and associations, students, and wildlife enthusiasts. In addition, all proceeds from sales of books and merchandise go to support our conservation programs.

sources of income for 2009. We received 69% of our total income
from charitable foundations, 29% from membership donations, and
2% from other sources.
We are proud to put
most of every dollar donated into our conservation programs.
Below is a breakdown of expenditures for 2009, with 87% of
our total income going toward Program Services, 7% toward Management,
and 6% toward Fundraising.
NCMC's work is divided
into 5 conservation programs,
and below is a breakdown of what percentage of our 2009 income was
spent within each program. Conserving Marine Ecosystems received
45%, Bring Back the Big Fish 35%, Fisheries Reform 10% and Resources
and Education 10%.
